Coffee Talk with a Local Roaster

The smell of fresh, roasting coffee rises out of Warren May’s shop in the quaint town of Pipersville, Pa. As I pull up the driveway, the aroma gets stronger and Warren steps out his shop with a big smile on his face. He has just finished roasting up a batch of beans and is excited to give Door to Door Organics a look into his world of coffee. Warren May spent half of his adult life working in the Hazardous Material Business and after retiring, he decided it was time to live the second half making a difference. Upon searching for a better cup of coffee and a way to change the world, he opened a coffee-roasting shop and decided […]

What makes food good?

We’re starting a journey to redefine ‘Good Food’.  We believe that food should be good for your health, our communities and the environment….and it’s gotta be delicious.  What we’re building is a system to evaluate everything we sell based on the concept of Good Food, to simplify your life without compromising your values. John Stoltzfus started raising beef and pork more than 17 years ago to feed his family. Over the years, friends began asking if they could purchase the family’s beef and pork products, so six years ago John started selling beef and pork under the name Weaver Valley Farms. The family’s mission is to provide quality meats at competitive prices, using all-natural pasture grass for the health of the animals, the land, and their customers. Door To Door Organics Tri-State is excited to be carrying Weaver Valley grass-fed, antibiotic and hormone free humanely raised steaks, roasts and pork. Weaver Valley Farms is located in Lancaster County in the small town of Strasburg, Pa., where farming fields and rolling pastures go on […]

A Homecoming … and Welcome from Chad

Howdy, my name is Chad Arnold. I’m the “FoodiEO” here at Door to Door Organics. I’ve been in this role ever since David Gersenson, our founder, handed me the reigns back in 2009. Some of you may not know, but Door to Door Organics was actually started in Bucks County back in 1997, only a few miles from the warehouse where we now operate. David started the Company to help people get access to quality organic produce. It was real simple, real important and, well… just real. That “realness” is a big part of why the Door to Door Organics team and I come to work every day. You can read more about our values here, but they’re best summed […]

But our new partnership with Door To Door Organics is going to allow us to really grow our online shop and offer products you’ve been requesting for a while. I have always had a strong passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle and introducing better food choices to more people. This partnership allows Suburban Organics to do just that. I’m excited that the changes coming to […]
