Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte (Yes, Really!)

Ever since they hit coffee shops, the pumpkin spice latte has become synonymous with fall. It’s a delicious blend of all our favorite fall flavors, but they have one big downside. The coffee shop versions are stuffed with sugar (almost twice your daily recommended value).

But never fear, PSL lovers: we have a healthier version that you can easily whip up in your own home. We switch out heavy sweeteners for maple syrup, so you still get a touch of sweet without going overboard. Even better, you don’t have to leave the house to enjoy a tasty pumpkin spice latte!

Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte

Serves: 1
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes

¾ cup almond milk
2–3 Tbsp. pumpkin puree
¼ tsp. cinnamon, plus more for topping
⅛ tsp. ginger
Pinch of nutmeg
1–2 Tbsp. maple syrup
¾ cup extra-strong coffee
Whipped cream for topping

1. Add almond milk and pumpkin puree to a pot. Whisk over medium heat until simmering.
2. Once simmering, add cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and maple syrup.
3. Whisk for another 60 seconds or until frothy.
4. Pour coffee into a mug and add milk mixture.
5. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon as desired.
